Admission Process
Apply early to avoid being placed on a wait list!
It can take up to 30 days to process all of your paperwork. Please apply ahead and have your paperwork completed 30 days prior to enrollment. All applications will be processed as quickly as possible.
ADMISSIONS & ENROLLMENT PROCESS
STEP # 1: Attend your Career Planning Session with our career planning specialists. (To save time you may combine steps 1, 2 & 3 in one visit)
STEP # 2: Submit your application for admission http://www.theinstituteofadvancedmedicalesthetics.com/admission-application.pdf with:
- $50.00 non refundable application fee
- A copy of your High School Transcript or GED (If your transcripts are on order let us know.)
- A 500 word essay (typed) discussing why you will be our top graduate, any other licenses or transcripts.
- Take your admissions exam and pass.
STEP # 3 - PT1: Once you are approved for admissions you will need to:
- Complete your enrollment agreement
- Pay your $100.00 non refundable enrollment fee and $400.00 deposit to secure you seat (refundable if you do not start class).
FINANCIAL AID PROCESS
STEP # 3 - PT2: You will also need to make an appointment with our financial assistance office. The goals will be to fill out a worksheet that correlates to your online FAFSA that you will need to submit to the government and to give us the documents we need to support your application.
To start the process early do the following: (If you prefer to wait until your FA meeting to complete this step you may but, if you are trying to be into a specific class start date and it is close to that date, you need to be proactive and complete this step ASAP!
FA - Step 1: submit your application to the government:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (This is the first step in
applying for financial aid.). THE FASA will be
processed by the Department of Education.
- Click the link below to fill out your FAFSA form. Enter our school code # 041562
FA - Step 2: get the results of your application in 2-3 days by mail:
- You will then receive a report in the mail - Return your Student Aid Report (SAR), the result of
filing the FAFSA, to the financial aid office. You
should receive the SAR in about three days if completing the
FAFSA electronically.
- Be prepared to submit verifying documentation to the financial aid office to support the data you provided on the FAFSA. This documentation may include, but not be limited to, your and spouse's (if married) and/or parent's signed federal income tax forms and W-2 statements, social security benefits forms, original social security number cards, eligible non-citizen documentation. Other documents may be requested after reviewing your SAR.
- Complete a Verification Worksheet. If you have provided parent income information on the FAFSA, you must complete a Dependent Verification Worksheet and have one parent signature in addition to your student signature. If you have provided only student (and spouse) income, complete an Independent Verification Worksheet.
FA- Step 3: Provide supporting documentation to the school at your FA appointment:
Required Documents for
your FA appointment:
1. Your Social Security
Number and your parents’ Social Security Numbers if you are
providing parental information.
2. Your driver’s license number if you have one.
3. Your Alien Registration Number if you are not a U.S.
citizen.
4. If verification is needed
(you could have these to be proactive): 2008 federal tax
information or tax returns (including IRS W-2 information) for
yourself (and spouse if you are married) and for your parents if
you are providing parental information. If you have not yet
filed a 2008 income tax return, you can still submit your FAFSA
but you must provide income and tax information.
5. Information on savings, investments, and
business and farm assets for yourself and your parents if you
are providing parental information.
FA - Step 4:
Accept your FA & secure any further financing or payment plans
due for balances due to the school:
1. Once your Aid package is ready we will have
you complete all paperwork and orientations necessary.
2. Any balances due on tuition will need to be addressed
by paying in full, setting up payment plans or securing gap
funding financing with our outside finance companies.
